Read a story recently of a guy who black taped over his "check engine " light, and continued to drive another several thousand miles., till his engine seized up. Upon being told he needed a new engine, and his warranty wasn’t going to cover it, he had a fit.
Growing up, I was surrounded by a lot of older folks from before the turn of the 20th Century. The stories they told were simply fascinating. And because I lived part-time in the country where modern conveniences were scarce, it was easy to imagine that I was back there with them.
Pha! My late wife’s home made cookies were heads and shoulders better than anything you could get at the store. She spoiled me so bad, that to this day, that I know that anything that comes from the store are not real cookies.
