I think she was kind of a jerk.

I coached baseball for six years and never had an issue with a parent (we won a lot so that helped). I was also a girls lacrosse official, that was a different story, most of the parents had no idea what the rules were, but many of them knew I was wrong, all the time, until I would ask them to explain the rule to me, then they usually shut up (public embarrassment works great). If they didn’t stop I threw them out.

My daughter has a dog grooming business, her uncle ( my BIL ) called her in the middle of the night to get his dog in the next day because it was far overdue for a grooming, she’s booked out for six weeks and he knows this. I don’t remember what she said her response was, but it wasn’t pleasant.

“Tenth Ave Freeze out” for a ringtone and the opening riff of “Aqualung” for texts. I make them myself using the Garage Band app.

The Hampton string Quartet does versions of rock songs, there’re very good.

Just checked, it is on Prime :)

The number of songs they played on is staggering. I did watch a documentary on the wrecking crew that was excellent, I believe it was on Prime.

The wrecking crew were studio musicians, no one knows exactly how many people made up the wrecking crew ( Glen Campbell being one of them ) but they worked in various configurations at different recording studios for many different producers. As you say, everything from Sinatra to the Archie’s. Technically when they played on a record, yeah, okay, they were a band (and a great one) but there was no set group that traveled around from studio to studio.

Don Kirshner invented the Monkees. And “Sugar, Sugar” was supposed to be a Monkee’s song, but they refused, so he created the Archie’s TV show because the cartoon characters “couldn’t talk back”. And the Archie’s were really one guy, with I believe the studio musicians the“wrecking crew” playing the music.

They copied a lot of the format from the Beatles movie “Help”
