I was reading both and for the longest time did not realize the author was the same. I’ve read all of Ordinary Bill a couple times but I really like it so I still read it every day.
The office I used to work in, half the women had slipper in their cubes that they would switch into once they got to work. A couple even walked around barefoot.
Unfortunately he does not. However if you like his style you should read “Wallace the Brave”. It is another comic he created. Basically Ordinary Bill but as a kid.
The pastor ended up buying a house because the parsonage they had was just unsafe for his family. His wife told me that right before they decided to move out fire shot out of an outlet. The place was literally falling apart. Ended up letting the fire department burn it down for practice.
When I was younger, the church I went to was going to build a new parsonage. They had plans drawn up and then presented them to the church council. One of the council members blocked it because the parsonage had a breakfast nook. Why should the pastor get a breakfast nook when he did not have one? Just one of the many reasons I am glad not to deal with churches anymore.
My dad tells me he has his apple watch and can use it to call for help. I asked him what about when it is charging and he said he charges it when he sleeps. Then I went to see him one day an no apple watch. Oh yeah, he just did not put it on. My wife threatens to get him a call button and staple it to his chest.
The problem I have is, the “good” cops will protect the “bad”. An officer shoots someone or commits a crime and the other officers swarm around to protect them. The union pays for lawyers and fights to defend the bad cop and no officer will say a word against the bad cop.
