First it was the nerd and the glamour girl, and now Luann and Quill. I think the topic is getting too risque for a family newspaper. When are the firefighters going to get married?

I think the strip has picked on Grandpa too long. Need some plots about grandma struggling for a while. Or Nelson’s mom. Where is Nelson’s dad anyway?

She has a two-piece outfit on today and the others don’t.

It could be someone getting signatures to get a candidate on the ballot, Girl Scout cookies seller (although door-to-door is discouraged) or someone asking for directions. As for arl, maybe he has arthritis or chronic fatigue syndrome.

I am surprised no one has yelled “prejudging brawn and no brains.” I do think the cartoonist will have fun with different puns, like what happens in Crankshaft. What is Ox’s real name? Do we know yet? I will have to look back over the last days, been travelling and didn’t see them.

I remember watching color TV about 1956 at a friend’s grandma’s. The NBC peacock came on the screen before the program.

Is Luann’s head down because her friends have lots more goals and organizational skills than she? Or if she is asleep—why? No plot line to explain.

I wonder with the cuts in education if people are being taught to sew. I quit sewing when knits became popular since I couldn’t sew them as cheaply. I do use my machine for repairing tears, but I sew by hand when shortening hubby’s pants, using a blind stitch. Many of my friends are into quilting and they use their machines a lot.
