“If you’d read real news and not just parrot what others say, you’d know by now that masks have been studied a lot, and they DON’T and CAN’T stop a virus. The size difference makes is similar to trying to keep a mosquito out by using a chain-link fence.” This would make sense if viruses flew through the air like tiny BBs. But they don’t— they travel in water droplets which are abolutely caught by masks. Also FYI, my wearing a mask protects you from me more than it protects me from you— but, nonetheless, for the two-ish years I wore a mask regularly, not only did I not catch COVID, I didn’t have so much as a head cold. I still mask up in a crowd or in spaces that feel unventilated, because, really, what’s the downside?
I’m pretty sure that the donkey was supposed to be on hold waiting for the Mueller report to drop (and thus help its 2020 chances), but the Mueller report was never going to drop and the donkey would die in frustration waiting for something that didn’t happen.
In retrospect, the timing of this cartoon was, um, a little unfortunate.
