Yes, very confusing. We settled on this because it seemed to be less specific (the way we understood it is that Jiu-Jitsu, with or without a hyphen is a specifically Brazilian type). The main difference according to most of the martial arts web sites is that the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu involves more grappling and the Japanese Jujutsu involves more throwing, which fit in better with Hammie’s moves. Hope that clears it up. But, on the internet, you can always find something contradictory.
