    Very interesting and seemingly well-informed. But I don’t think that TulipLover’s post necessarily contradicts any of this. THey were just pointing out that, at the time ,many people that weren’t White and Christian were perceived as subhuman.

    Shades of “The Three Body Problem.” And amazing trilogy. And the Chinese film adaptation is quite good. I think so far it just covered the first volume or so.

    I kind of like that Rat is being a Cliche Killer. Yeah!As far as what ‘need not be brought up here..’ Oy. I mean, when truth is stranger than fiction, and a coup d’etat of democracy is taking place here as in our great Israeli ally, I think the idle reference is not the worst thing. Yakety, are you making room in your neighborhood for all the people that the orange guy wants to so delicately remove from their homeland?
