   Venti means twenty, as in twenty ounces. That is why they call it that.

   There were no cards involved. All done with a scanning wand and barcodes. Seems like you’re trying to make this somehow my fault when the librarian should have rectified it the FIRST time I said I never checked it out, rather than hounding me for several months in front of all my classmates. Even the principal of the school was on my side.

   This was the school librarian in a small elementary school library. It wasn’t over the summer, I’m unsure where you got that from. After a month of being asked where the book was, and after repeatedly telling them I never checked it out, I went down there myself and solved the problem.

   I did the same thing. In second grade. The librarian could not believe she was outsmarted by a seven-year-old. It never occurred to her to check the shelf.
