   I stand by my original comment. Fear of “special ed” and special ed being very undesirable is perpetuated by the imagery.

   As a parent of a child with developmental difficulties, the entire tone of this story line is painting a picture of special ed being a bad thing. It makes me so angry. The hallway shouldn’t be dark, the attitude should be positive, and it’s perpetuating the myth that being different is bad or undesirable.
