Many of Trump’s lawyers do in fact work Pro Bono…they just didn’t plan it that way. He simply stiffed them!

One of my favorite sayings is “If it’s Truth, does it matter who says it?” Attributed to Anonymous. ;-)

Many years ago while living in Chicago, an alternative weekly ran a contest seeking entries for “How should Dondi die?” Contest. Seem to recall his demise was the result of something like “run over by a bus carrying a load of nuns, while attempting to get a cat that was caught in the middle of the road.” So appropriate.

Gotta say that as one of those dreaded “libruls” I am really disappointed with this cartoon. You’d think after all the rhetoric tossed about more than a week ago about guns, targets, crosshairs, etc., this sort of thing would clearly be off limits. But to include one of the main complainants/offenders (Palin) aiming at the individual who would become president should anything happen to the President and Vice President, well, that is really clueless.

Oliphant is usually quite good. This time he is way off target.

Devoted readers will know that even someone as indefatigable as GBT must occasionally go off for some R&R. This often occurs during school breaks, when devoted parent that he is, he takes the kids somewhere. Back when Editors actually worked at thriving newspapers, some of them would even add a heading to “rerun” strips, such as “While Doonesbury is on vacation, we are rerunning the following classic.” But if they did not, oftentimes clueless readers, such as moi, might wonder about flashbacks. So cut the guy some slack. Its hard to be au courant, witty, pithy, AND regular more than 330 days a year. Besides, I hear he’s past SIXTY now, so he has to be slowing down. I just wish he hadn’t chosen these strips, as I watch my own unemployment run out!
