I saw the Rolling Stones at the Cow Palace in San Francisco in 1966. The best song I remember was ‘19th Nervous Breakdown’ and watching Bill Wyman, the bass player, slide down the neck of the bass while double picking. Incredible talent…all of them. Mick Jagger had all the moves of Jagger then and now.
A girl who wore glasses was told my her mother that they were the planet Venus and on Venus they had four eyes. When they got to earth, they had two eyes removed to look like everybody else. I said, good thing they didn’t remove all four eyes or else you’d be a Venusian blind!
For the first 50+ years of growing up, he was called Smokey the Bear. Calling him Smokey Bear sounds like he’s on fire and not sending the message of preventing forest fires.
