It all depends on what you call a democracy :). In Switzerland every act of parliament requires a vote by the people. If the people don’t want it, then it doesn’t happen. That’s what I call a democracy. A goverment which is voted in and then makes it’s own decisions, I would call an elected autocracy. No wonder it’s so hard to choose candidate!
