Got say…I’m with Les on this one. I have worked hard my whole life and now I strive for routine. I still enjoy the occasional adventure in life, but I do not go out of my way seeking it. There is comfort in routine…and if you’re Canadian, poutine.
I used to be mildly put off when I saw folks wearing sweats and pjs in public…Now that I am older and close to retirement, I see the attraction to comfort.
My nephew used to be that way. I was happy to take my family out for a nice dinner, but it always irritated me that my brother’s son would order the most expensive thing on the menu and then not eat it. My kids and my sister’s kids would order what they knew they would enjoy eating…but the one nephew would pretty much only look at the price and pick the most expensive thing. I tried not to let it ruin my evening because I think it was mostly his parent’s mentality…but it still soured my mood on more than one occasion.
I would love someone giving me zucchini. I only recently discovered “zoodles” and like to turn cucumbers and zucchini into zoodles. I’m not particularly health conscious, but cold zoodles tossed with oil and vinegar are refreshing in hot weather….and fun to say :)
Yes…I was surprised to see it as well. All my previous dogs over the last 50+ years (and a few cats) had to bear with the cone of shame. I am glad there are now alternatives.
Spam, potatoes, and cheese sounds great to me :)
