   Most defense contracts require all their contractors to have a clearance, even if the work isn’t classified. It’s just built into the contract language.

   I’m not sure Piro could get a clearance. You need a stable job, stable income, proof of residency, background check, etc. I don’t think a kid still in college who is taking care of a sick mom and all those kids would qualify.

   LuAnn was a teenager when I was a teenager. That means SHE’S the one who is almost 50.

   No it’s not embarrassment per se, it’s a fear of intimacy, so shes building a shell around herself to keep from getting hurt. When he inevitably dumps her (or she him) it will be because “he was too frivolous” which will make her feel better.
