not at all. my point is that people that criticize windmills for killing birds seem disingenuous in their concern for birds and just want to find a way to criticize any form of renewable energy.

i think the main point is that if Trump wants to immune from crimes committed while in office, that means Biden is as well. Sure it is illegal but lets just drop in a couple more Supreme Court justices? And while we are at it, sure it is illegal but why not just invalidate these red States’s electorates?

so there is government, politics, and partisanship. I think when people complain about politics, they are usually complaining about partisanship – which is basically the game and making sure your team wins. Sometimes that is all we can get. But politics, at its best, is the coming together to hash out different ideas and addressing the variety of needs to come up with the best solution for the most people – ideally over the long haul, not short-term interest.

The first amendment isn’t the right to assemble…but just on federal property. Or freedom of speech…but only about the federal government. And all the “acts of violence” you speak of have are rare to nonexistent, basically just limited to the police response.

In the U.S. we have a proud history of protest and a belief in the value of protest at its core. That is why out Bill of Rights protects free speech and the right to assemble. Yes, if you break the law, you should be arrested. But there should be respect and leniency given for peaceful protest, not a violent crackdown with officers marching through crowds with assault weapons.
