Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy; 5. Honour thy father and thy mother; 6. Thou shalt not murder; 7. Thou shalt not commit adultery; 8. Thou shalt not steal; 9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour; and10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, or his wife, or his slaves, or his animals, or anything of thy neighbour.
Well, “skills” is plural, so a person with “skills” has two or more. On the other hand, you can have a “set” of one item or more, or even an empty set. So a person with a “skill set” can be a person with many skills, only one skill, or no skills at all. So a “skill set” is more inclusive, and probably championed by people without skills.
I can tell you why, from my perspective. After years of listening to news that seemed to ignore concerns of the common people, all of a sudden someone comes on the radio who says things you were thinking and points out things that the other news glossed over or ignored entirely. Very refreshing, validating, and addicting. But after realizing that those hosts were toxic hypocrites with a vested interest in keeping me in a constant, unhealthy state of anger, I stopped listening. I am convinced the deep political divisions in our country today began with the rise of talk radio hosts in the late 1980s.
Right. It’s like beating a dead horse around the bush.
