   We have a windows like that. I had to put a couple screws in it from the outside to keep the cat from pushing it out. He would sit in that windows for hours.

   My situation is the same as yours, always wore glasses before surgery and choose to wear them after for additional clarity. The only issue is reading. I prefer to use cheaters to read because I can use the entire lens rather than just the bottom few centimeters. That means keeping multiple pairs of cheaters around the house and switching glasses whenever I am reading anything longer than a few paragraphs.

   Our house has 4 of them. When we had the house built they wired every ceiling fan with 2 lines – one to power the fan and a separate one to power a built in light fixture. None of our fans have lights attached so we have 4 blank switches.

   I’ve been bald since I was 30 but didn’t seriously start wearing a hat until my 50’s. I’ve had 10 cancerous spots removed on my face and head since then and done the fluorouricle treatment on my head, face and ears 3 or 4 times (worst experience of my life). Now I never go outside without a hat even in the middle of winter.

   Colon cancer in the family. I’ve had 9 colonoscopies over the years and they always find polyps. I’ve been told I’ll require one every 3 years for the rest of my life. It’s gotten to be so routine that it’s no big deal anymore.
