   How misguided. It is good for kids to learn something harder than “Run, spot, run.”

   One of my friends in school was Craig Szymke. We could all pronounce it, no problem.

   One of my favorite toys when I was little (maybe 5) was my wooden train set. (predecessor to the Brio trains) It was my Skaneateles train and I had no problem with the name. It was made in that city in upstate New York.

   One of the best things to happen to my wardrobe was when I received a many of my dad’s clothes after he died.

   Before I retired, I wore a suit to work every day. Some were 20 years old. Some of the ties even older. During COVID the office was mostly empty. I took that as an opportunity to wear some of my oldest ties, since few would see to judge.

   Corrugated boxes are one of the most recyclable items. I have plenty that I have saved for possible re-use. The rest get flattened and go in the recycling bin
