it’s easy to laugh at him but you can’t fault him for wanting too much, Calvin’s Dad is happy and content and we could all be so lucky.

    sigh

    especially in these times…

eh, it’s fine. As long as you’re kind to it before sealing it it’ll be fine. I doubt any of those Action Comics #1 copies were bought with gloves and tucked away for the future.

assuming gocomics posts these in roughly chronological order i’m pretty sure this would’ve been in the comic’s 10th and final year, and it’s always a game between “how far do they want you to push the envelope” VS “how many papers is your comic selling”

i don’t think the guidance counsilor was much of a concept back in this time period/the time period Watterson would be pulling from, though i could be wrong.

I’m just cynical given how little focus mental health gets anywhere else even today.

it’s more like “they didn’t go out to vote against him enough” rather than “a large amount of people voted for him”

theres a dozen different ways to interpret why but never let the Fourth Reich convince you they’re the will of the people

i do enjoy Pig being able to contribute even just some small thing to WiseAss’s viewpoint, even if it’s just snappy phrasing

saw this on a collection of this little “old meets new” series of strips and it’s wild realizing that it’s nearly been as long since this anniversary than the anniversary had been since the debut (22 years VS 25)

or to put it more succinctly, in 3 years the 25th anniversary comics will be 25 years old

Huh, you don’t get many solo focus comics of Susie.

That’s… definitely not true. Granted it surely depends on your school system but you need to get at least 60% of the way to “perfection” to qualify for a D- in the normal scoring system.
