Cursive is still commonly taught in grades 3-4 as part of language arts. Research has shown “handwriting is a foundational skill that helps children develop in other areas, such as reading, writing, memory, and critical thinking”. If your kids aren’t being taught this do it yourself. My son struggled with handwriting until I taught him cursive. He just wrote quicker with cursive.
