Never been to Japan but I’ve been to Taiwan twice since I married a woman from there. It was quite an experience. Taipei is very crowded and smoggy. I’ve never seen so many yellow cabs in one place. My wife also took me to the mountains, and it was beautiful. Southern Taiwan is a lot calmer, and I really liked it. Saw hot springs and visited a famous factory that makes pineapple cake. Fresh ones taste really good.

I’m 73; music taste is a little diverse. I like music from the 50s, a lot of music from the 60s, music from the 70s etc. So I listen to Elvis, ZZ Top, the Beatles, CCR, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Three Dog Night (one of my favorites). I also like country (especially the older ones but some of the newer ones also.) I married a piano teacher, so I’ve been to quite a few classical music concerts (which I also enjoyed). I really love music but have absolutely no talent for it.

Which is a disability, so he’s not wrong.

I’d rather kiss a friend than an enemy; just saying.

Could be that old. When my son was in third grade a 6th grader picked on him and thought they were about the same age (we were at dinner party and they were outside). My son decked the guy and somebody came over and said, “you know he’s just in third grade, right?” The kid was mortified. When my wife was told about it, she told my son, “good job”. I married a keeper. By the way, my son is in his upper 20’s now and is over 6’4". People don’t try to push him around much.

None of that. When they brought me around, I had a tube in my throat and my hands were tied down (apparently, I kept trying to pull the tube out). Last thing I remember is being put under for the surgery. They told me that three people had a cardiac arrest that day in the hospital and I was the only one to survive.

When my son was about ten, I was in the hospital for a minor surgery. I died on the table, was in the Hospital quite a while after that. My son wasn’t allowed to visit. Of course, all the tubes and things would have probably scarred him for life. That was almost 20 years ago. It was a hell of day for my wife.

This it very true. I’m in my 70s and I have six doctors working on helping me do that. I’m like an old car where the parts are starting to fall off.
I kind of went the opposite way; I got married one month shy of my 44th birthday (She was ten years younger than me). This August will be our 30th wedding anniversary. Neither of us had been married before.
