    Especially since they don’t have the authority to arrest anybody unless they are fire marshals and that would be in limited cases. If they are doing it show they are a trained paramedic; than maybe.

    My grandfather had an old car you had to crank (this was late 1950’s). I wanted to try it. I remember two things; you had to tuck your thumb and if you didn’t it hurt like hell. He got rid of the car and upgraded shortly after that. He did have a tractor that you had to crank that he kept for many more years.

    You don’t know what an abacus is? It’s only a thousand years old, so you could definitely call it the first computer. Also, computers were a term for people that did math for a living before “electronic computers” were named after them.

    …and since the female equivalent or “Master” is “Mistress” which has it’s own negative connotations, “Master” has evolved to be the person in charge or highly skilled as per the words, postmaster, master mechanic, etc. From the Merriam-Webster definition or postmaster; 1 : one who has charge of a post office2 : one who has charge of a station for the accommodation of travelers or who supplies post-horses

    In the early days of marriage, I played Monopoly with my wife. She didn’t take it well (I guess that I can be a bit competitive). Our 29th wedding anniversary is coming up and I still can’t use the “M” word without her getting mad.

    Reading Melville Is like hacking your way through a thick jungle of tangled vines opening into small meadow. You wonder, “I did all this work for this?” Moby Dick had some thick vines, but nothing like the book, “Hawaii”
