Admitted to the Union – that boils it down to North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Washington ;-)

You need to look into the disappearance of trams in the US 100 years ago. It was a scheme by car manufacturers who bought the public transport companies and then drove them into the ground on purpose. To sell cars.

The whole east coast states had a complete network of trams serving all cities. and combining them. Switching lines you could go from Washington to New York and further just using trams.

I’m old enough to be a witness of climate change. And I have enough own experience with physics and chemistry to know that the explanation of it happening because of the burning of fossil fuels by humanity during the last 150 years is completely sound.

The rest of your list is …strange. When you mention cars I guess you mean electric cars? If so I concur but probably in a way you don’t mean, too. I see public transport and its combination with muscle and electrical driven personal transport (walking, bicycle riding, scooters,…) as the solution and all cars driven by abled persons as a problem (except emergency vehicles and local transport).

In social media you actually give them more than just „being there“ for a thumbs-up.

Worthless, shallow people liked you even in the past for just showing your handsomeness or wealth. Or perversely enough: your ruthlessness. And those do that today, still.

Sweet talk inflates the budget magically? We need a treasury attorney of that quality.

The Pope is selling fantasies to gullible people. Many others are doing it too, like snake oil, cars, ponzi schemes, or a great America. Yeah. Liars, all of them.
