Catcher In the Rye was only “good” because it was controversial. It’s not that well-written, nor is it that interesting. But the chance to read something counter-cultural made it a phenomenon.
The problem these days is that many playgrounds have given in to our nanny state and and gotten rid of the good merry-go-rounds because they are too “dangerous.”
So does that mean all Plugger’s parents got busy in March? Do Plugger’s parents only go for it one time of year when the spring thaw hits? I don’t get it.
