   So ages ago I got assigned a mentor at work. We were friends so I thought great. I asked him what his job was and how he did it. He never talked to me again.

   IMHO, if the final outcome is determined by “judges interpretation” it’s not a sport. Gymnastics, skateboarding (unless they’re racing), diving, etc.. are not sports very athletic but not a sport.
