    Dirt didn’t change – blood did! Our immune systems used to be able to fight off all manner of germs. Now, in our sanitized world, we have built up very little immunity to stuff. (Pardon my technical jargon.)

    I guess I’m odd (well, I know I am, but that’s another story). For me eating is about ingesting nutrition and enjoying food, and has little to do with socializing. I was probably into my thirties before I learned that I should feel embarrassed about eating alone.

    Oops. I totally missed this one. I thought he was trying to invent the wheel, but it went wrong and he invented the toaster instead. After all, many great discoveries and inventions are the result of serendipitous accidents…
