   I remember Mom putting hot water in our inflatable pool more than a couple of times. She must have really loved us because that was a lot of work. ;-)

   Despite one of my best friends being a big rocket nerd, I never saw an “Estes” launch. My parents wouldn’t buy any for me because of cost and safety. They’d seen my work. LOL!!

   I saw them on the shelves in the hobby shop but at the time I was busy building up my own real car and put all of my money there instead of models.

   Not eating whatever was put in front of us never came to our minds. The lone exception was liver and onions. Mom allowed my brothers and sisters to go without and just the vegetables. I love liver and onions so that just meant more for me. ;-)

   The papers I carried for, two different ones, forbid us to throw the papers.

   I never was one to play in mud. Dry dirt and digging in it was fine. I tried to dig a tunnel under the slab foundation of the garage one time. I was probably lucky we didn’t have a good shovel, or I might have been buried alive. ;-)
