No, this strip and others rightly excoriated the media for their behavior. The shame you willfully ignore is that nothing was learned, nothing has changed, things have only gotten worse. To pretend that ‘mainstream’ media is some pillar of truth is laughable (and that does not imply that newer media options have proven to be any better). If anything, ‘mainstream media’ proudly wears its bias on its sleeve these days.
