The Prosperity Gospel also directly contradicts the lesson of the Book of Job. His friends came and asked “What did you do to deserve this? Confess!” Meaning that people think you must have been bad to get such bad treatment from God. This leads to things like “Abortion and The Gays caused this Hurricane! We must stop them!”But Job didn’t do anything wrong. God even defended him. Bad things happen to Good People because Life the way we know it here on Earth depends on our dynamic planet that has tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes, Floods, Famines, etc. Most people join these false churches thinking, “If I join, I’ll get rich!” when Jesus’ words to the young Roman say this isn’t so. He said, “Sell all you own and serve the poor,” and the young Roman went away in tears because he clung to his wealth. I am not a good Christian. I cling to what I have. So, I, too, have fallen for this. Still, I strive. I strive.
Nice! Albert Payson Terhune (December 21, 1872 – February 18, 1942) was an American writer, dog breeder, and journalist. He was popular for his novels relating the adventures of his beloved collies and as a breeder of collies at his Sunnybank Kennels, the lines of which still exist in today’s Rough Collies. – Wikipedia
Congratulations! I’m still single, and at my age, I’ll never make it to the lofty anniversaries I dreamed of celebrating, but I live in hope. You inspire me!
