   Well, I measured the 2 east facing windows wrong and the new blinds are 1/2 inch too wide to fit. It’s a 3 hour round trip to Home Depot to have them trimmed, and it’s not a pretty drive except in the spring when wildflowers are blooming. At least my neighbor will put them up for me and save me the aggrevation. 20 minute job for him, hours of frustration for me.

   Those boys! Beautiful drive yesterday, thick snow all the way down to the cleared most of the way. Picked up some excellent bean soup and cornbread for my sick neighbor, spoke with his wife for a few minutes and 2 hours later got a text that she was now sick. I assume she was contagious last night so I may be next. His flu only lasted 3 days, not the 2 weeks like so many others are experiencing and he’s better this morning. He had covid early on, as did 2 relatives she had been with and she never caught it.
