   I give my kids plenty of warning before I start pitching things in the trash. Plus, they have lots of places I deem it “OK” for them to keep things. But after the umpteenth time of telling them they need to tidy things up, and I still find things hanging out of drawers or haphazardly stacked under tables or beds, stuff is going to get thrown away.

   YES! I’ve been thinking the same thing after about the 3 or 4 millionth one of those I saw!

   I’ve had two kids, and I’ve had kidney stones. I’d rather do drug free childbirth than ever have another kidney stone. Kidney stones are so much more painful!

   I’m Bipolar, and happen to really love BiPolar Bear. He reminds me that no matter how ugly the ups and downs can be, there is always balance. No mood swing lasts forever. BiPolar Bear is often a bright spot in an otherwise dark day. I would hate to see an end to BiPolar Bear strips.

   One of these days, I want to get a tattoo of BiPolar Bear. I find him very comforting when the roller-coaster is overwhelming.

   Just because one is a mom, doesn’t mean that she must be a mom to the exclusion of all else. My kids ask me LOTS of questions. I’m happy to answer them, up to a point, but eventually Q&A time has to end. And dangit, parents are human. Sometimes the endless questions drive you bonkers, and you don’t always need to follow up with an apology. I apologize to my kids if I snap at them excessively, or out of proportion to the situation. I don’t, if my kids have been given ample mommy time, and gentle reminders that mommy has to do mommy work, too.

   There have been plenty of strips where Elly has apologized to her kids.That’s why I like this strip. Far too often all we see of parenting is this beautiful, photoshopped fairytale. Lynn gives us a plain, unadulterated snapshot of both the good and the bad.

   I don’t think taking sugar, spice and everything nice is going to help you become a “little” girl.
