Okay, utterly clueless. Caring? They don’t care enough to step outside their own perceptions. Most of my relatives have been like that. Is it any surprise that given a choice between most people and ANY cat, I’ll take the cat. (Orbsters not included. You are all true human, humane, people, willing to look outside your perceptions.)

I think the title of the book may have been, A Great Big Ugly Man Came Up, and Tied His Horse To Me. That was also another vignette. Come to think of it, I should search for that. I’d buy the book in a splintered second if I could find it.

Heavy, furry rumbles of congratulations to you, healing to J, and advice: Don’t just ice the sacroiliac, ice the region from L4 or L5 (lumbar region) down to there, too. Pain in the sacroiliac is often due to stress and inflammation higher up. The technical medical term for my spine is “train wreck,” so this is voice-of-experience.

I remember my first reading of LOTR. My mother bought the first book, then bought me the second. The third was supposed to be a Christmas present, but I finished the second book and was frantic to find out what happened, so she relented and gave it to me two weeks early. It was final exams week. I finished the book about the same time I was done with exams (passed all with good grades, too.) I have since read LOTR well over fifty times (when I stopped counting). It never gets old.

None are villains in their own eyes. That does not mean they are not villains.
