Anyone else thinking that a mortality life lesson is the cards for Luann with respect to Mrs. Horner?

They do supply pets such as Scratch and Raymond.

Regardless of whether it is ‘possible’ due to age, (although as a rule family/friend donations follow different rules for kidney, liver and bone marrow etc), the point is moot. Mrs. Horner will simply not allow it to happen.

The Robin couple have nested on my light fixture and made the nest, laid eggs, had 3 babies and all a little later than 3 weeks they are gone. Hummingbird feeder is currently not garnering any interest and the milkweed is starting to do its thing but this is still early for the Monarchs.

If this doctor thing is a new story arc and considering the pace of time in this strip I should be dead by the she graduates med school.

Sort of a repeat of a previous comic when the Green Pirates kids are on the ship watching but worth a repeat.

Odd that this is such an environmentally conscious comic and yet so many environmental deniers and-or rationalizers read it.

For a while the rabbits seemed to get it and were part of the world. The Overboard world is just what it is. The mice have a role even though there is a cat who hates mice or birds unless a baby mouse or bird is in trouble and then as much as he hates it he does the right thing. The dog hates the squirrels because they are squirrels and they harass him unless there is an emergency in which case the dog comes to the rescue. The sharks think of Nate as a great meal but get Nate within a mile of a shark net and he’s deep diving to cut it to pieces. A pirate grows vegetables knowing full well 95% will be stolen by rabbits but in the end he knows everyone is fed so he does his part.
The rabbits seem to be on the players out of sync with the niche?

“So he should be expected to adjust his lifestyle to accommodate them.”
Of course not but also why lead them on to think they matter in his life when so clearly they do not? We have this bad societal impulse to ‘fix people’ and while that is wrong is the target of being fixed knows it are they are any better for allowing it to continue? I am a pragmatist so I know I probably get 90% of this wrong but my thought have always been when you enter a relationship with someone you have a decision to make at some point; either it is worth pursuing or let it go but never just let them dangle because you are either unsure or maybe you are getting something from it than it is clearly not what they want.
That said in the post surgery window the donor almost always fares worse than the recipent. It is within this time frame they are at most risk.
