Amazing that some people can actually criticize, or make snide comments about, a nice moment like this .. and, what’s with these alternative story lines? If these people are so much better than the Benders, why don’t they get their own comic strip instead of mucking up this one?

Alley is not going to save Oola. Her pterodactyl will save her, and she will then have her own “Dinny” going forward in future story lines. I think “Pteri” would do nicely for a name. They would make a good team.

Tunk has to stop using so much eye shadow.

Alice in Wonderland stuff – where’s the white rabbit, or, in this case, the red dinosaur?

… and Oola does not really look like Oola in the close-up!

Amazing how folks can get so nasty over a comic strip. No wonder there is so much discord in the world over issues that matter.

Note that Rex is running toward her. Oola goes off the edge only to grab onto the top of the cliff while Rex goes flying overhead and off the edge. Dinny and Alley arrive just in time to pull her up because the army has “proven” that many women cannot do chin-ups to get out of situations like this one. Or, maybe Oola is one of those women who can pass the three-chin-up qualification test deemed so important by Uncle Sam? I am hoping it’s the latter. She pulls herself up and Alley and Dinny arrive just in time to say “nice to see you, Oola. What’s new?”

Oola will prod the T Rex to charge her. She will then deftly deke to the side, causing the beast to plunge over the cliff to its death. Alley and Dinny will show up late, and Oola will have saved herself. Go, Oola!

Let’s see if Obamacare can victimize even Alley Oop. He should have called his local exchange in advance to sign up. Oh, right, I forgot, there are problems there as well. Perhaps he can sign up for a private PPO, maybe a HSA, or how about an HRA. He may still be a bit disabled from his encounter with the ram – how about SSI disability? Or, he has no income, so he could probably sign up for Medicaid. Oh, right, I forgot, most of the exchange users are applying for Medicaid anyway. There’s that exchange problem again. I think Oop should just go back to Moo and let Wizer take a look at his injuries. Matter of fact, I think I would join him if I could the next time I need medical attention. What a world!! History will look back on all this with a smirk, what a political legacy, but it’s not too humorous for those of us struggling with it right now.
I continue to be amazed that these commenters are constantly critical about the lack of reality in the strip. This is a comic strip – fantasy. If you want reality, read the New York Times.
