    My condolences.

nz4m60 is right on the money; Luddie’s body language says everything that needs to be said. The strips with Ludwig are some of my favorites. I love the fact that (unlike abominations like Garfield) this cat acts like a real cat.

I was just about to say, now they need to learn some Residents songs… I recommend they start with Lizard Lady. They already have Quincy, if they need a prop, after all.

Can she get an eyepatch to match her wedding gown? That could be pretty cool…

And if people are just ripping them open in seconds, shame on them! What kind of sad creature knows nothing about enjoying the presentation of a special thing?

Awww, whatta bunch of killjoys. Wrapping presents should be fun! I think it’s fun, anyway. I love picking out the gift wrap that best goes with the gift and/or gift recipient in question, coming up with creative ways to decorate the package, cute things to write on the gift tags, etc.

“Just yank Austin bodily out of Texas and switch it with Jacksonville.”

If you put us someplace where it isn’t 110 degrees four months of the year & high 90s another four, I’ll be all for that!!… although, if you put us someplace where it snows, we’ll probably all panic.

Dang. Didn’t mean to cross out the words “I’m a pacifist” … formatting problems.

“I recognize that there are plenty of intelligent and caring people in Texas.”THANK you!

“And I am all for letting them evacuate should secession occur!”Oh? Gee, how …charitable of you. Thanks.

As a loyal American citizen, I don’t think it’s very fair to require me to pass some kind of test in order to avoid losing my citizenship, just because of the fucktards in my native state who don’t mind losing theirs. Not that I’d have trouble with the test you propose - I’m a pacifist - but the suggestion that I should have to re-earn the citizenship that is mine by birth aggravates me, to put it very mildly.Yes, I know it’s a joke. And it’s a moot point: of course we’re not seceding. We couldn’t if we wanted to. (And most Texans absolutely do not want to; don’t be ridiculous.) But while the rest of America is feeling betrayed (and rightly so) by the Texans who blather about leaving the Union, I’m feeling betrayed by all my fellow Americans who seem to have no problem condemning EVERYbody in Texas.

On the other hand, I’m starting to feel sorry for making fun of Kansas a few years back, over that creationism BS.

They made it plain earlier this week that it’s an artificial tree. She wanted to buy a new one this year, he protested that they couldn’t afford to.
