My parents were both civil servants. By the time I was 12, I had a basic understanding of WHY education bonds were important. Being a grandfather of 5, I continue to support those bonds. Nevertheless the wealthy idiots in Sacramento are nibbling at the funding issues. In a decade or two, their overpriveleged kids will be served for lunch in the public schools, I hope.
In my first year of college, I joined the chess club. After a couple weeks, it was revealed that entire team(6 players) were gay, except me. I found any prejudices I’d learned in high school, faded away as I got to know my team members. tHe team as a group were VERY bright and educated chess players. I learned to hold my own and did well in tournaments. I miss the challenge…I realized that ‘Gay’ means NOTHING.
Something I’m very proud of is my kids participate in the Gay Pride parade in San Francisco. My oldest brings a couple hundred of her staff with her each year. They have a ball!
a few months before the ‘92 election, I grew bored with older rock music and looking for something to listen to on the way to work, I discovered rushy. He was full of sh!t, but was a good distraction, sorta. The morning after the election, He cried and whined for hours. Clinton’s election was certain to destroy the USA. I switched back to my rock stations. I haven’t listened to more than two minutes of his blather, since. His death is a positive step toward restoring a bit of our Democracy. Now, if Dump would follow suit, we might start heading in a positive direction.
I’ve believed for a looong time that our government would benefit greatly with a small nuke dropped on the White House. Lobbyists are a waste of space and expensive cars.
dON’T WE ALL?
