So already by this time period, the kids can work the technology better than the adults.

They didn’t mention “Vice Versa”, 1988, with Judge Reinhold and Fred Savage. I had totally forgotten that movie until seeing the comic and reading some of these comments. I had to look up the title and year. I just knew I remembered seeing an adult-kid body-swap comedy with males instead of females that had Judge Reinhold in it.

They put all that stuff out on December 26, so he started filtering it all out over all those weeks of being bombarded with it too soon.

I just hope it doesn’t mean the whole site is going paid with no more free users. That would mean I won’t read the comics here anymore. That would leave me with the Washington Post and the Seattle Times only. Maybe Arcamax, but yuck. This site has been the easiest to use as far as scrolling efficiently through the comics.

As Traveler said, there’s a great history lesson in Arlo and Janis that just taught me some stuff I didn’t know. Clear day on Feast of Candlemas (Feb. 2) means six more weeks of winter. So, when he sees his shadow (clear, sunny day) there’s lots more winter coming. Cloudy day (no sun, no shadow) means early spring. So, you actually hope for bad weather on Groundhog Day.

In other sources besides the movies, (not sure which), 3P0 canonically lost an arm that had to be replaced with a non-matching red arm. But then, Kurz put it into the sequel movies “Princess! Perhaps you didn’t recognize me because of my red arm?” is one of his lines in, I think it was Episode VII.

So, where does “the Man” sleep?

“Queen of the Night” is a favorite. Symphony No. 40 in G Minor is my favorite Mozart symphony. I also love “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”, although it’s been overplayed a bit, so maybe I’ll go with the Divertimento in D Major instead of that one.

My three have learned that if they don’t budge, I’ll do my best to work around them during the night, when I have to turn over many times, as a side-sleeper, or even to get out of bed to go to the bathroom and then get back in. They like to get up in between my legs. So, when the need to turn over hits, I pull out one leg from the blankets and hold it up with the knee near my chin, then turn over, then pull the other leg up and out and over to the other side of the cat(s), then finally put the leg I’ve been holding up out front again. In a few minutes, at least one cat will usually move from where it’s now behind the knee of my hind leg back over to in between the two legs in the new position. Or sometimes one will just smash up closer to my bottom. I have to check carefully that there’s not a cat back there before I begin the turnover or the get-out-of-bed-to-go procedure.

I’ve got one that actually starts to knead my bladder if I’m trying to hold it so he gets more lap time. I don’t think he means to, it’s just soft and warm in that area of my abdomen, especially with a blanket on top.
