    The painting has an interesting provenance, as shown in Dorotheum. Apparently it was among the many artworks looted during WWII. You can check it out by putting the appropriate slashes and dots into https www dorotheum com en l/8035965 . Anyway, all’s well that ends well; it sold for $25,000 in 2022, which seems to me like a pretty good bargain for a quite decent old master. On Dorotheum, by the way, it’s known as “Three Bathers”.
