This is getting intriguingly meta. What we have is a copy of a self-portroit. So, is Hequet painting a potrait of Ingres? Or is Hequet painting a portrait of a portrait of Ingres? Or is Hequet painting anything at all other than a copy of another paiting?

“Ryan Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder, has been added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. He competed in the parallel giant slalom event at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, finishing 24th. Wedding is accused of running a transnational drug trafficking network that transported hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia through Mexico and Southern California to Canada and other U.S. locations. He is also implicated in orchestrating multiple murders and an attempted murder as part of his criminal enterprise.Wedding, who uses aliases such as “El Jefe,” “Public Enemy,” and “James Conrad King,” allegedly oversaw a violent drug operation that shipped approximately 60 tons of cocaine annually. Authorities believe he is currently hiding in Mexico but have not ruled out his presence in Canada, the U.S., or other Latin American countries. A reward of $10 million has been offered for information leading to his capture."

So now it’s at five days without a solution. That makes me wonder if anybody’s actually trying to fix it.

What kind of logic is this, Frazz? Why is tornado danger higher where paintings of them are found?

Periodically goocomics loses its brain and one or more random comics fail to update. It always takes a few days to fix. I think that’s because it takes them a few days to notice something’s wrong. I think that’s because they don’t actually consider it to be important. As long as uses are coming in and ads are displaying, whether or not they’re actually delivering the content we expect, and in some cases are paying for, is irrelevant to them.

If you have no imagination, you’ll probably have no emotional reaction to this or any other work. The more imagination you have, the more a work will evoke a response from you.

Given the way GoComics just randomly quits updating, I think it’s a technical thing, not a rights thing, and the tech at GoComics is just not really up to the job.
