I’ve considered Linux many times, specifically Ubuntu. Even then, the UI is not all too great—and all of the programs, games and utilities I do have become useless. Next-to-nothing is made for Linux. And, sure, there is Windows emulation, but even that comes with its own set of problems.
My parents got a really expensive, really heavy ’n fancy sofa for like $400 because the was a chip of wood missing on one of the legs. You cannot even really see it, no matter where it is positioned.
(and with nut allergies there are a range of possibilities. Some have to consume a decent amount to get any bad effects and others all they have to do is touch a peanut to get hives or skin reactions. Actual ingestion must take place for it to be life threatening.)
