   I had a Director of Nursing tell me that we needed to get a patient to eat more and I told her that when this patient decides to stop, that is his right and it was stupid to try to force him to eat. She went into the patient’s room to get him to eat more and came out two minutes later with food on her shirt where the patient spit it on her. I got the same instruction, “Not a word.”

   We had a sign in our break room that said, “Clean up after yourself, your Momma doesn’t work here.” Someone wrote on the bottom, “Yes she does.” Under that was a small sign that said, “I may be your Momma, but it is not my job to clean up after you.”

   Ben may not realize it, yet, but he wins. Never forget that it’s your children who choose your nursing home for you. In the absence of family, the state chooses if you didn’t make previous arrangements.

   Lately, any UAP in the United States gets called a drone, especially at night. Then people act afraid of them and the press makes a big deal out of reported sightings. The ones to worry about are the ones without running lights, not the ones that are lit up. The ones with lights are in compliance with the FAA regulations, the ones without lights are being sneaky and up to no good.

   I used to work with lots of women and most of them were unmarried or divorced. Drama in the workplace is ridiculous when it comes to who is dating who. One of the men there had dated two of the women consecutively with only a few days between and they remained friendly. But when he started dating a third woman after breaking up with the previous two, the first two ganged up on her and they had a fight in the parking lot. All three were fired because of that. Fortunately, they were all on day shift.
