when I was having children I told my mom it seemed like a dark time to bring a new life into the world. she told me she’d felt the same way when having her children, and so she spoke to her mother about it, who told her that she had also felt that way when starting a family. somehow, everyone survived and thrived and life went on. we are capable of more than we know, and more resilient than we’ll likely need to be.

well he seems happy, and the cat is loved. someday he may make someone happy besides just himself. Gun is just doing his life as well as he can also. No wrong way as long as you aren’t hurting anyone else, really
Really, you think so? Well, I raise my 4 grandchildren, having done so for the past 8 years. They are exemplary citizens and all without the benefit of my parsing cartoons to find out how to get the job done. One wonders how people managed before comics to know right from wrong.
