Does Florida have a snowplow? I was in Branson, MO years ago when the people wo lived across the line in Arkansas were afraid they might not get home because it had snowed and they said the whole state had only one snowplow. (Good old days when Branson had real stars and great shows.)

Too late for that after he’s done those first hurried snips.

How soon they forget how excited they were to see the snow from inside the warm house. I get the snowplow thing, though. For a while, I had a friend who drove the plow. He would raise the blade when he passed my driveway.

At her age she should be asking herself if that’s the best use of her time. I was addicted to basketball when our local team was a team off the court as well as on. Then a new manager traded some of the best players and a hot rookie brought politics to the game so I quit watching. I realized how much of my time I had spent that I could have been putting to other things and I asked myself that question. Now, even older with fewer years pr months left, I ask it often.

I like Brutus’ idea. Especially right now when it’s so cold you don’t even want to look out the window.

A lot of married men keep in shape because of the long walks all by themselves.

You might also remind them to be respectful to everyone, not just you. I always told my kids they could argue with me, disagree with me, but they had to do it in a respectful tone of voice. They are in their sixties, and they still do that. Some of their kids, don’t even have any idea of common courtesy, such as saying “Thank you” for gifts. I’ve disowned a couple grandchildren because of that. The others have taught their two-to-six year olds to say that before they are able to speak clearly. They light up my life when they come and visit.
