   Jerry — Just read that you’ve retired — wish you all the best, but jeez, I’ll miss your work after reading it since 1984!! By far my favorite cartoonist.

   If you are so concerned about daylight saving time (Oh, the humanity!), get people worked up to change it. If someone shoots a kid, don’t expect me to say, “Well, that’s nothing — now DST, there’s your tragedy.” Nice redirection, though, from the real issue under discussion. You know what else sucks for kids? Living in a third world country — why aren’t you more concerned about that? Starvation kills way more kids than DST. So by your logic, we should only be concerned about the worst problem, not any of the others. “Don’t worry, kids…starvation, malaria, childhood cancers, the scourge that is DST, then maybe we’ll worry about gun violence killing you. Be patient!” Sheesh.
