I have a picture of me working under the sink with 2 dogs on my chest helping. One was a foster.

We have a handicapped American Bully (Penny) that reminds me so much of Annie. When she shakes in her wheels, the whole rig gets a good shake! Our Penny is a “foster fail” too – our first after 30ish fosters.

We only 1/2 jokingly say that we bought the camper so the dogs can go everywhere with us.

@zen-of-zinfandel I don’t think I’ve commented on you screen name before… One of my favorite local wineries specializes in Zin. And one of their Zins is “Zen Zin”. It’s yummy.

Exactly. It’s not the dog, it’s the human. I used to have a big-dog bias. After 20+ fosters, several that have been small dogs I would never have liked previously, I now say “they are all just dogs”. It’s the humans that make the difference.

All of the panels are excellently composed. The evolution of Susie’s emotions is so well played out.

I always say that about “Pass With Care”. If no sign I can pass with reckless abandon?

We have two young foster dogs – terriers – that are as feral as any dogs I have ever known. We don’t actually know anything about their backstory. This is a new foster challenge for us. After 8 months, one of them will (almost) come up to us for pets. The other one still runs to his “safe zones” before we can approach him. But we can approach them in their safe zones now. Such sweeties. No aggression. Just fearful of humans.

Your reading the wrong paper! I delivered the Courier Express in ‘70s. Oh bummer. Google just informed me you can’t switch to the Courier Express. Haven’t lived in the area since ’74.

One of my foster dogs has decided that rolling in cat poo is his favorite thing ever. Can’t take your eye off him on walks.
