   I was that guy for about three tries, but eventually I figured out how to balance on the board AND use the sail.I never got to be as good as those folks who jump waves and do spectacular tricks, but I got good enough to have some wonderful and fast rides scudding over the water with the wind in my hair.I DID have to be rescued a few time when the wind was too strong for me to lift the sail and it literally pushed me across the lake (I never went out of reach of land….too prudent about my skills) but I improved my balance and had some exercise and a lot of great fun.

   I even got good enough to fall into the water on purpose sometimes because I wanted to cool off.
