   I would argue that Religion is a system of beliefs based on faith IN A PERSONALLY SELECTED SYSTEM OF BELIEFS.

   Science is a system of beliefs based on evidence THAT IS OFTEN SELECTED OR REJECTED AND INTERPRETED BASED ON A SYSTEM OF BELIEFS.

   Virtually every belief is based on the assumptions one makes on the way to arriving at the delief. There are many opportunities for reinforcing feedback in the process.

   In some places, the tip suggested on the ticket is over 20% of the total, including sales taxes. The server, especially if tips are untaxed, my have a bigger take-home than the restaurant owner who pays for cooks, food, rent, insurance, equipment, advertising, utilities, etc.

Like every other endeavor (banking, pro sports, education, scientific publication, immigration, everything where ‘winning’ can yield large benefit), elections are subject to fraud Fraud may occur or it may not – the more difficult it is difficult to catch, the more likely it is to happen.

   To say swing states control the election missed the point. Changes in which states are solidly red or blue control even whether swing states matter or not. And the populations of each state determine where their state fall in the red/purple/blue spectrum.

   Your 5th grade teacher did not understand the valid reasons the Constitution created the Electoral College. Limitations in communication influenced the timing of Election Day, the vote in the Electoral College, and Inauguration Day, but not the design of process itself.
