It’s great when a parody of an art style lets you know that the artist is obviously capable of drawing in that style, and is actively choosing not to.
A detail I just love in this strip is Calvin in the last panel frowning as he looks at his grade on the assignment.
“Dandelion Head” is a truly devastating blow.

I’m afraid you’re misinformed…the monkey battery thing does not require you to duck; rather, the surplus energy created by the battery will on occasion spontaneously generate a duck. Your confusion is understandable.
