Silver Linings Playbook was much better than Argo. And Sleepy, Gladiator is a great film. I have watched it more than any other Oscar Best Picture winner from that era.
I am sure had a comic like this been done for George W. Bush in 2005 or Ronald Reagan in 1985, the cartoonist would be receiving the same comments, that, like Doonesbury, it belongs on the editorial page.
Jbmlaw, I don’t consider myself a leftist, just someone who gets more than enough political bashing info from the lefties and righties on the editorial pages, television, radio, websites, etc. it’s nice to be able to read something and just laugh. There are many ways to make people laugh without bringing up politics and the assorted whack jobs and trolls who love to bash and argue. Today’s cartoon belongs on the editorial page. Pearls and Get Fuzzy manage to do politics in a way that makes fun of BOTH sides or politics in general. This did not.
Not the editorial page, Tony. Everyone in comics should keep their political comments to themselves. Sad to read the same extremist posts here that litter every news story on the web.
Is this how Glenn McCoy takes a vacation?
