It’s a good thing that we pipers have thick skin. True, in the wrong hands, the pipes can be painful to listen to, but played well – there’s nothing like it! In a shower, however, that would be crazy loud!
I play bagpipes and you have to have a pretty thick skin to endure all the jokes. But I agree with Cerabooge: when tuned well and played well it’s one of the most beautiful sounds.
