Once again, here’s a Doonesbury man who has to be in his sixties by now, yet looks the same as he did in 1978. No rooster chin? No grey hair? No paunchiness, balding, nothing? Tsk tsk Trudeau.
Rick seems to have less grey than before! Why do the Doonesbury men age so slightly, but the women get all the rooster necks and pouchiness? I realize Rick’s neck is conveniently hidden by the beard, but come now…
I also don’t get why the women in this strip age as you would expect (well, more or less), but the men barely go grey, never go bald, never get paunchy…. Very unrealistic, Mr Trudeau! Let go of the Peter Pan complex! There is no shame in aging.
