Nothing wrong with Carly Simon, I actually own (technically license) copies of her music on CD. Instead of duck and covering in an interior hallway in school they barricade a door and take cover inside the classroom. Instead of Reagan falling asleep we got Biden mumbling and Trump (ranked the worst president of the last 150 years). Nothing really changes.
I live in Washington State east of the Cascade mountains where we typically pay above the national average in gas prices. I drive a BMW that requires premium gasoline. It’s been well over a decade since I’ve consistently paid less than $3 dollars a gallon for gas.
I remember good ol’ days of the 1970s and 1980s: double digit inflation over several of years, unemployment as high as 10.8 percent, gas prices as high as $4.25 in (2022 dollars), double digit mortgage rates, duck and cover drills, crime rates double that of today, Carly Simon singing Anticipation, etc.
I thought that was Bill the Cat that went “ACK!” a lot (but some times “THBBFT!”)
