I remember the 70s and 80s. Inflation, mortgage rates, etc were all worse. Last 4 years were a cake walk in comparison. I guess the first time Trump was president he made America soft and whiny. Get ready for weak and wimpy during the next 4 years!
The heavy plastic bags (required to be reusable at least 100 times) they make you pay for in the store now a days don’t get all soggy when the ice cream and other frozen foods starts to sweat.
We’ve faced civil war, world wars, great recessions, great depressions, pandemics, etc. As long as we keep our eye on the ball we’ll make it through the next 4 years. Trump’s last administration had one of the worst track records defending his policies in the courts because his peons didn’t know how to follow the rules. It doesn’t look like this clown alley is any smarter than the last.
I learned a long time ago never to underestimate the stupidity of the American voter. That being said I think local politicians have the biggest impact on my life (that’s where a lot of where my tax dollars get spent that I actually have a say in) and it can be challenging to research 20 or 30 people running for those local positions.
I remember sitting in my cubicle and overhearing a workmate confusing ounces and pounds with ounces and gallons. They wouldn’t have confused grams and kilograms with milliliters and liters. ¯\(ツ)/¯
If it was Trump’s it was the biggest 12 inch ruler ever made!
